Turning Ordinary to Extraordinary

I'm Stacy. A 17 year-old living in Southern California. This is my blog to document my journey. I'm currently standing 5'4". My Highest weight was 182 lbs. My current weight is 161 lbs. My goal weight is 120 lbs.

Here's my story:

I've always been, lets face it, FAT. But I mountain biked, ran track, and did all the sports but my eating habits were horrible. TV Dinners, tamales, never eating in proportion, and always eating out. It wasn't until 5th grade that I realized I wasn't like every other kid. In california, we have to take a 5th grade fitness test, I was only 5ft tall or so and I weight over 150lbs. Kids made fun of me everyday and I just kind of comforted myself, by myself. I had a few friends but I ignored them. Starvation diets don't work because you just end up binging. Trust me, I know. So I eventually grew into my weight and looked normal, not overly fat and not skinny. However, high school came along and I don't know what happened. I thought that because I was young, I could eat whatever the hell I wanted. Eventually I got to my highest weight and I was sick of being the DUFF in my group of friends. DUFF = Designated Ugly Fat Friend. Every year I tried to lose weight but gave up within two weeks. Thanks toTumblr's fit community has been a real inspiration in changing my ways and I've never been happier. Now I'm doing this for me, to show that I can do this. So I continue my journey. My story is much too long but one day, I'll make an about me page. :) Feel free to ask me anything.

Stopped at a stoplight because I am not crazy enough to go through the intersection during Rush Hour. Don’t want to die when I’m 17. People get crazy here in So. Cal!

Waiting for my Trek to come in…

Patiently waiting. IT NEEDS TO HURRY UPPPP. I WANT IT SOOOOO BAD.

Seriously though, I don’t remember a time when I didn’t know how to ride a bike. I was looking through my old photo albums and I’m looking at all these adventures I did with my dad and I really miss it. I am so thankful my dad is buying this bike for me. He only wants the best for me and I love him sooo much. He’s seriously the best dad ever. Only he would allow me to do all the stupid crap I do everyday. When my bike comes in, he’s switching all my components to Campagnolo and making it the perfect bike. I mean, what other dad will give you a Gary Fisher, a BMX, and then a road bike. In addition to the snowboarding gear for the winter season. Sometimes, he makes me the happiest daughter in the world and all he asks for in return is love, good grades, and my happiness. I love you Dad! I’ll never stop being your little girl.
